TEXBIZ 4.0
TEXBIZ 4.0 is the fourth rendition of TEXBIZ, a brainchild of BUTEX Business Club, an inter-university textile-based competition.TEXBIZ has been created to strengthen your scenario evaluation abilities and mass information handling by throwing business difficulties to be addressed. Obtain first-hand experience in case solving to prepare for exhibiting financial, business, and collaboration abilities by solving real-life business issues, particularly in the context of the textile industry and its approaching vital difficulties.
INTRA PHASE



Workshop
BUTEX Business Club organized an extraordinary workshop on basic case-solving tricks and techniques for TEXBIZ 4.0 (intra phase). The event was held on October 12th at the BUTEX Auditorium and was conducted by the esteemed soft skill enthusiast and facilitator, Md. Mahtab Abdullah Monjur. With over 2,000 students trained both offline and online, Monjur’s expertise in the field was evident as he engaged the 150 registered participants in an interactive and informative session that left a significant impact on their strategic knowledge. His willingness to go above and beyond was evident when he surprised attendees by gifting them a book and an example of his work. Participants left the workshop feeling empowered and inspired, with one participant remarking, “Nothing can be better than this for a beginner in case competition.” The workshop’s success was a testament to BUTEX Business Club’s unwavering commitment to equipping students with the tools and knowledge necessary to succeed in the textile industry, a vital sector for the economic growth of the country.
Online Round
BUTEX BUSINESS CLUB proudly announced the grand unveiling of the highly anticipated TEXBIZ 4.0 event, on October 6, 2022, with the commencement of the online round of intra phase. All esteemed undergrad students of BUTEX have been extended a remarkable opportunity to form teams comprising of 3 to 4 individuals and participate in this prestigious event. The online round garnered unprecedented attention, with an overwhelming number of teams registering to participate, marking a historic moment for TEXBIZ. The registration deadline for the online round was set for the 13th of October, with the case exhibition held on the same day, and the case submission deadline fixed at the 18th of October. Participants experienced first-hand, unparalleled exposure to case-solving techniques, honing their abilities to exhibit exceptional financial, business, and collaboration skills while offering ingenious solutions to real-life business issues plaguing the textile industry and its imminent complexities. After diligent and rigorous evaluation, the top 15 teams that stood out from the rest were selected on the 21st of October, signaling their advancement to the highly anticipated presentation round. The presentation round shall provide a unique platform for on-the-spot case-solving and presentations, scheduled to take place on the 22nd of October, 2022.
ON SPOT ROUND
The presentation round of TEXBIZ 4.0 was the pinnacle of the intra-phase, showcasing the top 15 teams’ exceptional aptitude and acumen in addressing intricate business problems that afflict the textile industry. The highly-anticipated event commenced with a two-hour workshop conducted by Mr. Tanzir Islam, British American Tobacco, aimed at imparting invaluable insights on the nuances of supply chain management and financial analysis to the selected teams. The on-spot semifinal round followed, providing each team with a brand-new case in both hard and soft copies. The teams were required to submit their solutions within a strict deadline of three hours, followed by presenting their findings to the panel of six highly qualified judges. The competition was intense, with the teams not only competing against each other but also racing against time. The judges had a daunting task of assessing the performance of the teams, with each exhibiting an exceptional display of business proficiency. After much deliberation, the judges identified the six finest teams that had showcased exceptional analytical and presentation skills, which earned them a spot in the intra-final round.



FINAL OF INTRAPHASE
The Intra phase of TEXBIZ 4.0 culminated on 28th October, 2022, with a grand finale featuring six top-performing teams. Team Slytherin emerged victorious as the championship winner, while Team Green and Stitch Squad secured the first and second runners-up positions, respectively. The panel of judges included distinguished personalities such as Asseer Nehalul Islam, strategic analyst at Banglalink Digital Communications Ltd; Sajid Bin Hasnat, former Vice President of the Brac University Debate Club; and Zarif Ahmed, strategic assistant at Banglalink Digital Communications Ltd. The event concluded on a high note with an exquisite award ceremony, graced by our honorable moderator and esteemed judges. The winners received well-deserved certificates, crests, and, most importantly, free entry tickets to the next round of the Inter Phase of TEXBIZ 4.0. However, the competition is far from over, and we can assure you that there is much more excitement yet to unfold. Stay tuned for further updates.
